Introduce yourself

Welcome to the community! Let’s get to know each other. Please introduce yourself and share a little bit about your interests.

I am Wiktoria, a software engineer with a love of any kind of games, wheter it be video or board. I also love my house plants, and get giddy when a new leaf starts to grow.

I have been a developer for roughly 4-5 years now, focused on frontend and recently started to get into backend as well.

Hey y’all. I go by Comrade M. I’ve been working in web dev for about 10 years now. That’s how I pay the bills and a million impulse buys - my office is a cemetery mess of hobbies and projects. I dig video games, my wife and cats make me happy to wake up in the morning, and I also dabble in weekend D&D games. Send me recommendations for obscure and bizarre books or films and I’m a happy camper.

My work experience is split between full-stack in the past, and back-end focused for the last 5 years or so. Hoping some day I’ll find the subdivision of web development or programming in general that really gets me going.

Salutations. It’s me Titan.

I’m a full-stack developer since 2020.

Favorite Technology: Vue

I’ve spun up servers, designed in Figma, tackled with centering a Div, and even spent a lot of time learning web dev in 2016 starting with PHP(:face_vomiting: ), all self-taught.

Glad to be here, I’m big on Film/TV, gaming mostly story games (Life is Strange, Omori, Dispatch), and multiplayer ones I can enjoy with friends like Super Battle Golf or phasmophobia.

This year I plan to travel to new cities, and maybe attend a few concerts.

Hopefully we don’t take over this servers storage with 4K memes…we’ll cross that bridge eventually but for now I’m excited.

I actually sent this in the system thread, so I’ll send it here instead.

Hello! I was meaning to introduce myself a few days ago, but I’ve been off a few days due to illness. So, let’s do this!

I’m nacabaro, yet another developer who makes applications out of spaghetti code and Python. I also do web, mostly React, Astro, and now I’m learning Vue, and I also do embedded, preferably in C/C++, and then Arduino and ESP32.

This is also my first time on a forum, my manufacturing date is after the forum craze, so I’m still learning about it.

Oh well, happy to see y’all around!

Hello World

Hi. I’m Eflat Major, or just Eflat (or even Eb) for short. Unless you want to go all fancy and use the correct symbol - then you can call me E♭.

I am self-taught in web/game dev (20~ years), music composition (10~ years), music performance (~30 years) and foreign languages - mainly Swedish (10~ years).

Interests

My interests are quite varied but my wide knowledgebase generally lacks depth. I find all kinds of things interesting such as music theory/composition, video games, literature, architecture, science, astronomy, history/mythology, (web/game) development etc.

  • I compose my own music, in a variety of genres

  • I like to learn and play (Piano) music (mostly Classical- and Romantic-era and especially Beethoven’s piano sonatas).

  • I enjoy creating websites and web apps, usually relating to other interests/passions. I love the Vue library.

  • I love learning languages, especially Swedish, with a dash of French (German is too hard… I gave up!).

  • I sometimes read, mostly science-fiction.

  • I play video games. Nowadays, however, I do way more watching others play on YouTube - in particular I consume a ton of Minecraft content. My favourites are the Halo series, the Knight of the Old Republic series and the Mass Effect series.

(Some) Projects

  • I created a somewhat popular plugin for a code editor.

  • I made a custom Discord bot for a large (100k+) programming server.

  • I created a huge Memrise course for learning Swedish, with thousands of vocabulary items serving 5k+ users.

  • I used to run a language learning Discord where I worked on a custom language learning Discord bot and also built a language learning desktop app.

Hello fellows, for I am Perp.

I enjoy programming, reverse engineering, and hands on development. My primary struggles with these however is commitment to a project over more than a week. I am hoping to start freelance development once my portfolio is created as I am working on it gradually and I am rather passionate about computer science and plan on majoring in CS for my college degree. I enjoy incremental style games like simulators and roguelikes and love survival sandbox games like minecraft and terraria! I learn fast and thoroughly as it is my strongest skill however I struggle with some common things and planning is not my best skill by a longshot.
